Black Point Estate Tour

Cited as one of the finest surviving examples of great summer homes in the Medwest.  Black Point is the first historical estate to open to the public in Lake Geneva.  Built in 1888, the three-story, Queen Anne style house was originally comprised of 13 bedrooms, one full bath, a wraparound porch that could seat 40 people and a four-story lookout tower.  Today, Black Point is considered to have one of the most intact collections of Victorian furniture in the Midwest.

 

The Dancing Horses Theatre

The dazzling spectacle features an array of horse breeds performing alongside their trainers in this fantastic cavalcade of equestrian artistry.  Visually stunning, and performed in a climate-controlled, intimate 300-seat theatre, this live show is truly a must-see for any horse lover.  The theatre is located at Animal Gardens, a family-friendly environment featuring a variety of farm animals, wildlife and exotic creatures.

Offering free public tours every Saturday, Yerkes Observatory is home to the world's largest refracting telescope.  The telescope is housed in a 90-foot dome, one of the largest of its kind ever built, and the 73-foot wooden floor surrounding the telescope is actually an elevator that raises star gazers to the eyepiece for a peak at the Milky Way and beyond.
